QTag is a QR-based smart contact and emergency alert system that enables:

  • Vehicle and asset owners to register QR tags
  • Scanners to contact owners anonymously via WhatsApp
  • Emergency alerts to be sent to owners and their emergency contacts
  • Privacy-protected communication without revealing personal phone numbers

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Owner Registration

To register and use a QR tag, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Use a valid WhatsApp-enabled phone number
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account

3.2 Scanner Usage

Users scanning QR tags may use the Service without registration, but must:

  • Use the Service only for lawful and legitimate purposes
  • Not spam, abuse, or misuse the communication system
  • Respect all system limitations and restrictions

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent activity
  • Send spam, abusive, threatening, or harassing messages
  • Impersonate any person or provide false information
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service
  • Interfere with system operations or security
  • Use bots, automation, or scripts to abuse the system
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Emergency Alerts

Emergency alerts are strictly intended for real emergencies only.

You agree:

  • To use emergency alerts only in genuine emergency situations
  • Not to misuse or spam the emergency alert system
  • That false alerts may result in account suspension or termination

Important: QTag is not a substitute for official emergency services. In life-threatening situations, always contact local emergency services (e.g., 112 or 911) immediately.

7. Rate Limiting and Abuse Prevention

To maintain system stability and prevent misuse, we may apply rate limits on messaging and scanning activity.

Excessive or abusive usage may result in temporary or permanent restrictions. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these limits or engage in harmful behavior.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, design, and features of QTag are the intellectual property of QTag.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service
  • Use QTag branding or assets without written permission

9. Product Purchases

If you purchase QR tags or related products:

  • All sales are final unless otherwise stated
  • Product availability may vary
  • We reserve the right to cancel any order
  • Shipping terms are defined at checkout

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Instant delivery of messages or alerts
  • Accuracy of user-provided data
  • Compatibility with all devices or networks

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QTag shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from the use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QTag, its team, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
